Alternative Uses

Recresco lead the field when it comes to investigating and developing uses for glass other than just being made into more bottles. Not all glass is suitable for the bottle manufacturers. For example, glass that has been contaminated to a high degree, or by-products of the recycling process. Recresco have invested heavily in highly specialised equipment to further process this material into useful products such as water filtration media and an environmentally friendly alternative to copper derived shot blast material.

At Recresco we are always seeking new uses for recycled glass and work closely with a number of different industries to develop new raw material replacements.
